Building Communities

Building Communities

Our Building Communities program allows individual and groups of employees to make a difference to charities that matter most to them.

At CF, we firmly believe that our people are core to our success. With that said, the goal of this program is to put our corporate values into action by encouraging you to take advantage of this offer and use a working day for volunteerism. In turn, CF will recognize and celebrate those efforts and put our financial resources to work in support of our communities. We are not just Building Leaders; we are Building Communities through this program.

More information on the Building Communities program is available by clicking here.

Corporate Values

Find out how you can help put our Corporate Values into action through our Building Communities program.

If you or a group of CF employees spend seven or more hours volunteering for a charity, CF will donate $3,000 for an individual effort, or $5,000 for a group effort (3 or more people). The charity must meet the criteria outlined in the program details found on My Mosaic (look for more information when you arrive) and volunteering must be conducted on a CF volunteer day or outside of work hours. Volunteering at a dedicated fundraising event, as a member of a charity’s board of directors or through an ongoing volunteer commitment qualify for the Building Communities donations.

One of the first companies to use the Enwave Deep Lake Water Cooling System to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions at downtown Toronto office properties. Carrefour Laval’s Dining Hall and Toronto Eaton Centre’s Urban Eatery were the first food courts in Canada to offer patrons re-usable dishware. CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver uses on-site composting which processes food waste and other compostable materials to significantly reduce waste volume, reducing our impact on the environment while saving costs.
