Employee Health & Safety

CF takes health & safety very seriously. Every employee will complete the health and safety training program, on CF Mosaic, upon joining the organization. Additionally, joint health and safety committees inspect workplaces monthly to identify hazards and make recommendations for corrective action.

Extened Health Care And Dental

Employees feel our plan sets us apart. It covers a wide array of expenses, including dental coverage, prescription medication, vision care, semi-private hospital coverage and emergency out of province /country coverage. We also offer a flexible Health Care Spending / Fitness Account that is renewed every January (New hires are automatically enrolled in the HCSA). Premiums are company paid (except Long Term Disability), with no deductible and 90% reimbursement for the majority of eligible expenses.

Vacation

CF believes time off work is important and necessary to relax and revitalize. Vacation also provides employees with the opportunity to find work-life balance and enjoy their interests outside of work.

CF's vacation year begins on June 1st and ends on May 31st.

This is an innovative benefit offering that provides a second opinion for employees and their eligible dependants when they have been diagnosed with a serious illness. Best Doctors connects individuals with some of the best minds worldwide to ensure correct diagnosis and best treatment options.

Defined Contribution Pension Plan

CF offers one of the most generous Defined Contribution pension plans in Canada. Where else would you receive 150% return on your investment? It is important for you to plan for your retirement; the CF Pension is one building block in that plan. All permanent full-time employees who are less than 65 years of age automatically join the plan on the first of the month after being hired.

Employee And Family Assistance Program

The Employee and Family Assistance Program is a confidential bilingual support service that can help you and your eligible dependants find solutions for personal or work life issues. They are able to provide a comprehensive range of services to deal with a broad range of personal issues such as, but not limited to:

Maternity, Pregnancy & Parental Leave Top-Up

What an exciting time in your life! CF will top up the eligible employee’s income from EI and QPIP so that the employee receives 70% of their bi-weekly pay for a maximum of 17 weeks or 18 weeks in Quebec.

Tuition Reimbursement

Investing in our people is not only one of our corporate values, it is a commitment we uphold. CF encourages you to continue education and will reimburse eligible expenses for each employee up to $2,500 per fiscal year for business or job-related courses, textbooks and exams.
