On Friday March 1st, UNIQLO opened the third location in Toronto and the twentieth Canadian store at CF Fairview Mall.
The store occupies a total of 15,000 square feet of retail space and offers UNIQLO’S collection "LifeWear". Since opening its first Canadian location in 2016, the Japanese retailer has offered a unique guest experience with its innovative lineup of LifeWear for men, women, and kids.
To mark the grand opening, the Japanese retailer and Cadillac Fairview held a grand opening ceremony which included speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and free coffee and snacks from Pilot Coffee Roasters for the first 300 shoppers.
“We couldn’t be more excited to enter the next phase of our North American expansion plan and serve more customers in the U.S. and Canada,” Daisuke Tsukagoshi, CEO of Uniqlo North America, said in a statement. “Stores are the heartbeat of our business, where we can engage with our local communities, hear directly from our customers, and best understand their needs to continue to improve and perfect our products. We’re looking forward to a big year ahead.”
Currently, Cadillac Fairview is home to almost half of the UNIQLO locations in Canada. In more exciting news, the brand plans to open the second location in Calgary at CF Market Mall on March 22nd.
All UNIQLO locations in Cadillac Fairview’s portfolio include: CF Toronto Eaton Centre, CF Fairview Mall, CF Markville Mall, CF Rideau Centre, CF Richmond Centre, CF Chinook Centre, CF Carrefour Laval, Fairview Pointe-Claire and CF Promenades St. Bruno.
